KANSAS CITY, MO – Police released an update on a hit-and-run incident in Kansas City, saying the victim has passed away from her injuries.
WDAF reported that the pedestrian, an elderly woman, was pronounced dead Friday after being struck Feb. 25 in the vicinity of Bennington Avenue and 7th Street.
Police said the woman was walking across Bennington Avenue at about 7 p.m. when she was struck by a red vehicle. The driver left the scene afterwards without stopping to help, investigators said. No further information was released about the vehicle being sought.
