News: Woman, 11-year-old girl injured in Ray County car accident

RAY COUNTY, MO – The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a woman and a young girl were injured in a crash in Ray County on Monday afternoon.

 

The MSHP’s accident report states that it occurred on Route O south of Pendleton Road shortly before 2:30 p.m.

 

According to state troopers, 29-year-old Ashlee R. Carrasco of Liberty, Missouri, was driving a 2017 Ford northbound when the vehicle went off the roadway and struck a pile of brush.

 

Carrasco and her passenger, an 11-year-old from Excelsior Springs, Missouri, both were reported to have suffered moderate injuries.  Carrasco refused treatment at the scene, while the girl was taken by EMS to Children’s Mercy.   Neither person was wearing a seat belt, the MSHP said.
