News: Waverly man seriously injured after driving off roadway on Highway 23

LAFAYETTE COUNTY, MO – The Missouri State Highway Patrol was called to the scene of a single-vehicle accident in Lafayette County on Monday afternoon.

 

The MSHP’s crash report said it happened on Highway 23 near Jingles Road in Waverly.   The driver of a 2005 Mazda Miata was traveling northbound at 1:10 p.m. when the vehicle went off the right side of the roadway.

 

The Mazda began to slide, and collided with a piece of farming equipment.

 

The driver, a 67-year-old man from Waverly, Missouri, was seriously injured and transported by Waverly EMS to Centerpoint Medical Center.  The man was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
