News: Stolen vehicle crashes into car at Prospect Ave and E 37th Street

KANSAS CITY, MO – Two people were injured when their vehicle was struck by a hit-and-run driver in Kansas City on Monday night, police said.

 

According to WDAF, the collision occurred in the area of E. 37th Street and Prospect Avenue sometime before 5 p.m.

 

Police said the driver of a stolen Chrysler 300 slammed into a Saturn trying to make a turn into an auto repair shop. The Chrysler driver was speeding at the time, witnesses said.

 

A passenger in the Saturn was seriously injured while the driver of the Saturn sustained minor injuries. Investigators said the driver of the Chrysler and a passenger fled the scene after the accident. The vehicle had been stolen from a nearby gas station before the crash.
