KANSAS CITY, M0 – The Kansas City Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run incident that sent a pedestrian to the hospital on Saturday morning, KSHB reports.
Investigators said the driver of a Toyota Camry was headed east on Linwood Avenue at about 10:49 a.m. when the vehicle struck a pedestrian walking across Linwood Avenue near Olive Street.
The victim suffered critical injuries and was taken to an area hospital, where they were listed in serious but stable condition.
Police said the driver of the Camry left the scene after the crash, but officers later were able to locate the vehicle and the driver.
