KANSAS CITY, MO – Kansas City police are investigating a crash on Friday afternoon that left a pedestrian critically injured.
KMBC reports the incident occurred on 31st Street near Stadium Drive at about 3:11 p.m. Investigators said a Hyundai Sonata going eastbound on 31st Street was struck by an SUV. The Hyundai then spun and struck the pedestrian sitting in the center median of 31st Street.
The victim suffered injuries described as life-threatening. Police said the driver of the Hyundai, who was not injured, remained at the scene but the driver of the SUV left without stopping.
