News: Pedestrian hit by car while crossing street at 85th St and Oak St

KANSAS CITY, MO – Kansas City police said a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while walking across a street Thursday night.

 

According to KCTV, the victim was crossing at Oak Street and E. 85th Street in the Waldo neighborhood when they were hit by an eastbound Ford Fusion.

 

Police and first responders arrived at the scene at about 8:44 p.m., and the pedestrian was taken to an area hospital. The victim, whose identity was not released, was listed in critical condition.

 

The driver of the Fusion stayed at the scene. There is an ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident.
