KANSAS CITY, MO – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle in Kansas City early Thursday morning, reports WDAF.
The accident happened on the Heart of America Bridge shortly before 12: 45 a.m. According to police, the pedestrian was walking north on the bridge in a lane of traffic and was hit by a silver Toyota SUV.
The victim was rushed to the hospital and passed away on Friday morning.
The driver of the vehicle and a passenger were not injured, and the driver stayed at the scene and was said to be cooperating with investigators.
