BATES COUNTY, MO – The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a woman was killed in a crash in Bates County on Tuesday morning.
According to the MSHP’s accident log, the wreck happened on Missouri 18 at Route T shortly after 11 a.m.
An investigation indicated that the driver of a 2018 GMC Yukon was heading east, turned into the path of a westbound 2006 Peterbilt tractor and was struck by the tractor.
A passenger in the Yukon, 87-year-old Dolores Nolan of Adrien, Missouri, was pronounced dead after being taken to Research Hospital. The driver of the Yukon, 66-year-old Ginger Moore of Butler, Missouri was transported to Research Medical Center with serious injuries. Both women were wearing seat belts, troopers said.
The MSHP was assisted at the scene by the Bates County Sheriff’s Department.
