News: Out-of-control vehicle slams into CVS store in Independence

INDEPENDENCE, MO – Police said a driver who lost control of a vehicle crashed into a store in Independence, according to KCTV.

 

The accident occurred Friday afternoon at a CVS store in the area of East 39th Street and S. Noland Road at about 2:35 p.m.

 

No one in the van or in the store was injured in the crash, but there was a significant amount of damage to the building.

 

Investigators trying to determine the cause of the incident said the driver might have accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake pedal.
