News: Multi-vehicle wreck on Missouri 13 leaves 2 injured

RAY COUNTY, MO – Two people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision in Ray County on Tuesday afternoon, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

 

The accident happened along Missouri 13 north of W. 220th Street at 1:55 p.m.

 

According to the MSHP, a 2023 Ford Explorer and a 2023 Hyundai Veloster were stopped at a construction area.  The driver of a 2017 Ford F-250 pickup was headed south on Missouri 13 and struck the Explorer, which rotated and came to rest in the northbound lane.  The pickup continued south and struck the Veloster, with both vehicles coming to rest in the southbound lane.

 

The driver of the Explorer, 66-year-old Deborah Carver of Polo, Missouri, was taken to Liberty Hospital with moderate injuries.  A passenger in the pickup, 19-year-old Joshua Durbin of Manson, Iowa, sustained minor injuries and was transported to Ray County Hospital.  Both injured victims were wearing their seat belts, troopers said.
