KANSAS CITY, MO – One person was critically injured in a traffic collision on Interstate 435 in Kansas City on Sunday afternoon, police said.
According to a KSHB report, three vehicles were believed to have been involved in the incident on I-435 southbound near 87th Street at about 3:45 p.m.
The incident shut down the interstate past East Gregory Boulevard while emergency crews responded to the scene. The roadway did not fully reopen until shortly after 6 p.m.
There was no immediate word on the circumstances that led to the wreck.
