JOHNSON COUNTY, MO – The Missouri State Highway Patrol said an accident in Johnson County Thursday morning left a motorcyclist seriously injured, according to KCTV.
Troopers responded to Missouri Highway 23 at Route WW after the crash took place shortly after 6:15 a.m. The MSHP’s investigation found 50-year-old Ronald Watson of Leeton, Missouri, was trying to ride his motorcycle around a curve when he activated the clutch instead of the brake.
That caused the motorcycle to overturn and skid off the right side of the highway, and Watson was thrown from the bike.
He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, troopers said.
