CASS COUNTY, MO – A motorcyclist was injured in an accident in Cass County on Friday night, KCTV reports.
The victim was riding a 2023 Suzuki motorcycle north on Route Y in the Riverview Estates area south of Belton when the incident occurred shorty before 10 p.m.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the rider traveled off the side of the roadway, struck a rock bluff and a guardrail, and was thrown from the bike.
The motorcyclist, a 40-year-old man from Peculiar, was seriously injured and transported to Research Hospital in Kansas City by Cass County EMS.
He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, state troopers said.
