KANSAS CITY, MO – A collision in Kansas City, Missouri on Monday afternoon left a motorcycle rider dead, according to a KSHB report.
The crash happened at about 4:30 p.m. in the vicinity of Blue Ridge Boulevard and Winner Road.
The Kansas City Police Department said a man was driving a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle south on Blue Ridge Boulevard at a high rate of speed when he drove off the road and lost control of the bike.
The motorcyclist went through a stop into the intersection with Winner Road, where he was hit by an F-250 tow truck making a left turn.
The motorcycle rider, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead at an area hospital. The driver and passenger of the truck were not hurt in the crash, which remains under investigation.
