KANSAS CITY, MO – Two victims of a fatal semi-truck crash in Kansas City last December have been identified by police, WDAF reports.

The accident occurred Dec. 1 on the ramp from Interstate 70 to Interstate 435 near the Truman Sports Complex at about 4 p.m. Kansas City police have now released the names of those who were killed.  They were the driver of the semi, 58-year-old Nehemiah Robinson, and a passenger, 33-year-old Alex Gitahi. The two were residents of Phoenix, Arizona.

According to investigators, Robinson lost control of the semi while heading west and taking the exit to I-435 south. The truck went off the roadway, overturned, and caught fire. The two victims were both pronounced dead at the scene.
