News: Hit-and-run driver sought after collision with motorcycle on U.S. 50

JOHNSON COUNTY, MO – A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision in Johnson County involving a hit-and-run driver, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

 

According to WDAF, the incident happened along eastbound U.S. 50 Highway.  The MSHP said a driver was trying to pass the operator of a Harley Davidson Electra Glide motorcycle and sideswiped the motorcyclist.  The rider lost control of the bike and was ejected when the bike flipped over.

 

State troopers said the other driver fled the scene heading eastbound after the crash, and is now being sought.  No information was immediately available on the driver or vehicle involved.
