News: Father and child struck by hit-and-run driver in Buckner

BUCKNER, MO – A hit-and-run incident in Jackson County on Monday night left a father and child injured, KCTV reports.

 

The two were struck by a vehicle in the area of Washington Street and Zoe Avenue in Buckner shortly before 10 p.m.

 

The victims were transported to an area hospital, where they listed in stable condition.

 

Police said the driver left the scene of the crash but turned himself in at the Buckner Police Department several hours later.  His identity was not immediately released.

 

The case has reportedly gone to the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office, but there has not yet been an announcement regarding any charges.
