News: Excelsior Springs man hospitalized after car crashes into tree

RAY COUNTY, MO – A driver was taken to the hospital after his car crashed into a tree in Ray County Wednesday night.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s accident log, the incident happened on Business 10 east of Missouri Highway 10 shortly after 8 p.m.

State troopers said a 42-year-old man was driving a 2006 Ford eastbound when the vehicle went off the right side of the way and collided with the tree. The driver, Jason Mick of Excelsior Springs, was taken by EMS crews to Liberty Hospital with what were described as moderate injuries.

He was not wearing a seat belt at the time, the MSHP said. Ray County deputies assisted at the scene of the crash, which left the vehicle totaled.
