JACKSON COUNTY, MO – An elderly driver was hospitalized following a collision in Jackson County Monday afternoon, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
In its crash report, the MSHP said the accident took place on Route F north of Kline Road at about 3 p.m. Investigators said the driver of a northbound 2019 Mercedes Sprinter 2500, 39-year-old Casey McMichen of Blue Springs, Missouri, made a left turn in front of a southbound 2016 Buick Verano. The Buick then struck the side of the Mercedes.
The driver of the Buick, 77-year-old William R. Jarvis of Kingsville, Missouri, sustained minor injuries. He was taken by EMS to Centerpoint Medical Center for treatment. No other injuries were reported in the incident.
