News: Elderly couple among 3 injured in Ray County accident

RAY COUNTY, MO – Three people were injured in a car accident in Ray County on Tuesday afternoon, state troopers said.

 

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s crash report, the incident occurred on Missouri State Road 10 shortly after 12:30 p.m.

 

The MSHP said 87-year-old Sadie L. Outersky was driving a Chevrolet Silverado and attempting to make a left hand turn. She pulled into the path of a Honda Civic, causing a collision.

 

Outersky and her passenger, 86-year-old Darwin R. Outersky, was transported to Liberty Hospital with serious injuries. Both are residents of Richmond, Missouri. The driver of the Civic, 22-year-old Mellani R. Nigh of Lexington, Missouri, sustained minor injuries and was taken to Lafayette Regional Hospital.

 

Both vehicles had extensive damage and were towed from the scene.
