HENRY COUNTY, MO – The Missouri State Highway Patrol said one person was killed and another injured in a single-vehicle accident in Henry County Saturday night.
According to the MSHP’s crash report, the incident happened on Route Z at SE 331 Road in Deepwater at about 10:15 p.m. State troopers said the driver of a 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe ran off the right side of the roadway, where the vehicle struck an embankment, became airborne, landed and then hit a tree.
The driver, 41-year-old Jesse Raybourne of Deepwater, Missouri, was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, 46-year-old Jamie Vogel of Shell City, Missouri, was seriously injured and taken to Golden Valley Hospital of Clinton.
State troopers were assisted at the scene by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office and the Deepwater Fire Department.
