News: Driver flees scene after hitting pedestrian on US 65

BENTON COUNTY, MO – A pedestrian was injured in a hit-and-run incident in Benton County on Monday night, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

 

According to the MSHP’s accident report, the crash happened on US 65 at the Osage River Bridge at 9:55 p.m.

 

The pedestrian, 39-year-old Troy Ethridge of Warsaw, Missouri, was walking on the shoulder of the roadway when he was hit by a southbound vehicle.  The driver involved fled the scene, and no description of the vehicle was available.  Ethridge was transported to Bothwell Hospital with serious injuries.

 

The MSHP was assisted at the scene by Benton County Sheriff’s deputies.
