KANSAS CITY, MO – A car accident in Kansas City Monday afternoon left three people with critical injuries, police said.
WDAF reports two vehicles collided in the vicinity of Stark Avenue and East 23rd Street Trafficway at about 4:50 p.m.
An investigation determined that the driver of a Chevrolet Suburban drove off the road while headed east on 23rd Street Trafficway. When the driver overcorrected, the Suburban slid across the median and was hit by a westbound Ford F-150 pickup truck.
The driver of the Ford, the driver of the Suburban, and a child passenger in the Suburban were all taken to area hospitals in critical condition. The driver of the Suburban was later upgraded to stable condition while the Ford driver was listed in serious condition.
Kansas City police are trying to determine the cause of the accident.
