News: ATV driver dies in accident involving ambulance in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, MO – The driver of an all-terrain vehicle was killed in an accident on Broadway Boulevard in midtown Kansas City early Sunday morning, reports KCTV.

 

The Kansas City Police Department learned that the ATV driver was going south near West 32nd Street when the incident occurred at about 3:15 a.m.  The driver was reportedly doing tricks, then accelerated and lost control of the vehicle, and crashed into an ambulance.

 

The ATV driver was ejected, then was hit by the ambulance and died at the scene.  The driver, front passenger and patient in the ambulance were not injured.

 

Authorities said the ATV did not have headlights on at the time of the crash.
