JACKSON COUNTY, MO – The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports four people were injured in a multi-vehicle accident in Jackson County Sunday night.
According to the MSHP’s crash report, the incident took place on Missouri 7 near Interstate 70 in Blue Springs shortly after 9 p.m.
The driver of a 2019 Ford was going south with emergency lights and sirens activated through the lighted intersection, state troopers said. The drivers of an eastbound 2008 Cadillac and an eastbound 2009 Honda both failed to yield and pulled into the path of the Ford, which then struck the Cadillac on the front driver side and also hit the Honda.
The driver of the Ford, 29-year-old Gregory Johnston of Blue Springs, sustained minor injuries in the wreck. The driver of the Cadillac, 19-year-old Devin Crumby of Olathe, Kansas, and his passenger, 38-year-old Shana Dennis of Wellington, Missouri, suffered moderate injuries. The driver of the Honda, 30-year-old Aisha Smith of Blue Springs, also suffered moderate injuries. All four victims were taken to Centerpoint Hospital.
