JACKSON COUNTY, MO – State troopers were at the scene of a crash in Jackson County Tuesday afternoon that left a driver seriously injured.
The incident happened on Interstate 70 eastbound just west of Woods Chapel Road, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The MSHP said 21-year-old Mohammed Almneer was driving a GMC Sierra at 12:41 p.m. when he attempted to change lanes and struck the front of an Infiniti G37. The Sierra went off the left side of I-70, hit a concrete wall and returned to the roadway. It then struck a Volvo and began to roll.
Almneer, a resident of Blue Springs, Missouri, was flown to Centerpoint Hospital with serious injuries. No other injuries were reported.
