News: 2-year-old boy struck by towed unit attached to truck in Cass County

CASS COUNTY, MO – A pedestrian accident in Cass County on Friday morning sent a child to the hospital, state troopers said.

 

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s crash report, the incident took place near Austin Road and East 315th Street at around 11:09 a.m. Investigators said a 2-year-old boy was struck by the towed unit that was attached to a 2018 Chevrolet truck.

 

The child, a resident of Harrisonville, Missouri, was seriously injured and taken to Children’s Mercy Hospital for treatment.
