News: 2-vehicle accident in Lafayette County injures both drivers

LAFAYETTE COUNTY, MO – The Missouri Highway Patrol reports two drivers were injured in a collision in Lafayette County on Monday morning.

 

The incident took place on North Outer Road east of Route O shortly after 7 a.m.

 

State troopers said 31-year-old Christopher Talley of Odessa was driving a Chevrolet 500 truck when he attempted to turn left and entered the path of a Chevrolet Malibu. The vehicles crashed, with both ending up in the westbound lane.

 

The Malibu driver, 41-year-old Robert Dukes of Mayview, was seriously injured and taken to Centerpoint Medical Center.

 

Talley sustained minor injuries and refused treatment.
