News: Driver, passenger injured when car slams into building at Kansas City hospital

KANSAS CITY, MO – Kansas City police responded to the scene of a car crash at a local hospital on Sunday morning, the Kansas City Star reports.

 

According to investigators, the driver of a Toyota Corolla was traveling at a very high rate of speed while going north on Olive Street shortly before 11:30 a.m.  After crossing over Meyer Boulevard, the driver entered a parking lot of Research Medical Center and the Corolla collided with an unoccupied Hyundai Elantra.  The Corolla then crashed into a storage building on the campus of the hospital.

 

The driver of the Corolla and a front seat passenger were critically injured and taken to a hospital, where they were listed in stable condition.  No other injuries were reported.
