KANSAS CITY, MO – An 18-year-old motorcycle rider was killed in an accident in Kansas City Thursday morning, police said.
According to KMBC, the motorcyclist was reported to have collided with a RideKC bus on East 75th Street at about 11 a.m.
Police investigators determined that that the teen was riding east on a Honda CBR motorcycle when the westbound bus turned into a private drive in front of the bike, and the vehicles crashed.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The bus driver was not injured. No passengers were on the bus at the time.
75th Street was closed between US 71 and Prospect Avenue for the crash investigation.
