News: Driver, passenger injured when car hits disabled vehicle in Lafayette County

LAFAYETTE COUNTY, MO – The Missouri State Highway Patrol said two people were injured when their car collided with a disabled vehicle in Lafayette County early Tuesday morning.

 

According to the MSHP’s accident report, a 2018 Volvo tractor truck had broken down in the northbound lane on Route Z south of Mountain View Drive.

 

The driver of a southbound 2014 Nissan Pathfinder crashed into the front of the Volvo at about 5:11 a.m.  The Nissan driver, 30-year-old Miguel Ramirez-Carranza, and the passenger, 34-year-old Carla Gonsales-Lopez, sustained minor injuries and were taken to Centerpoint Medical Center for treatment. Both are residents of Marshall, Missouri.

 

State troopers were assisted at the scene by the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department.
