CLAY COUNTY, MO – A multi-vehicle accident in Clay County on Friday left one person dead and two others hospitalized, KSHB reported.
The crash happened on Missouri 210 Highway near State Route EE shortly after 5 p.m. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the driver of a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado was headed eastbound and crashed into the back of a 2014 Ford Fusion. The impact sent the Fusion into the westbound lane where it was hit by a 2022 Ford Bronco.
The 27-year-old man driving the Fusion died after being transported to an area hospital. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision, state troopers said. The Bronco driver, a 76-year-old woman, was seriously injured. The driver of the Silverado, a 23-year-old man, sustained minor injuries.
