KANSAS CITY, MO – A car wreck in Kansas City on Wednesday morning left one person dead and another critically injured, reports the Kansas City Star.
Police said the driver of a Honda CRV was going south on Swope Parkway near East 55th Street when the vehicle went off the right side of the road and slammed into a tree.
One person in the Honda died after being transported to an area hospital, while another person was critically injured. A third occupant of the car left the scene on foot and was not immediately located by police officers.
Kansas City police are continuing their investigation into the crash.
