News: 3 injured in crash on Five Bridges Avenue in Benton County

BENTON COUNTY, MO – A collision in Benton County on Saturday night sent three people to the hospital, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

 

According to the MSHP, the driver of a 2023 Dodge Ram was headed south on Five Bridges Avenue south of Cole Camp at about 9:30 p.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve.  The pickup crossed the center of the roadway and collided with a 2013 Nissan Juke going north.

 

The driver of the Dodge, 21-year-old Nathaniel Hampton, was taken to Bothwell Regional Medical Center.  The driver of the Nissan, 57-year-old Janice Hoehns and a 12-year-old male passenger in her car were airlifted to University Hospital.  All three injured victims suffered moderate injuries.  They are all residents of Cole Camp.

 

The three were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash, troopers said.
