News: Motorcyclist injured after crashing into trees in south Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, MO – An accident in south Kansas City on Friday left a motorcycle rider critically injured, reports KSHB.

 

Kansas City police said the driver of an Aprilia RS660 motorcycle was going at a high rate of speed near 6900 Coal Mine Road and lost control of the bike.

 

The motorcycle went off the left side of the roadway, where it crashed into several trees and a concrete power box.

 

The motorcycle rider was ejected and was hospitalized with critical injuries.  The rider was wearing a helmet at the time, police said.
